The Music Box

The Music BoxThe Music Box classes are held every Friday during the school term at The Stewarton Area Centre. We begin with Pre-school Music Box, for boys and girls aged 3 to 5 years (approx.) from 2.30 p.m. to 3.15 p.m and Primary Music Box, for boys and girls from p1 to p3 from 3.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.

These classes offer a fun and lively mix of singing, listening and percussion activities. Children will learn a lot about music while playing fun games, creating their own music and learning to sing imaginative songs written especially for children's voices. The primary class will also have regular opportunities to discover musical theatre through simple musical plays and cantatas.

Older children, boys and girls from p4 to p7, take part in our Musical Theatre class which runs from 4.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. Participants take part in three stage productions every year. Each 90 minute session includes opportunities for singing and dancing, drama games and improvisation as well as devised plays or working from scripts.

In addition, The Music Box runs a variety of summer and Christmas Drama projects for children aged three years and up each of these offer fun-packed sessions culminating in the performance of a musical drama.

Our workshops for Schools, Nurseries and Toddler groups are very popular. They can be tailored to suit your particular needs and are very affordable. For further information contact us or telephone 01560 482593.
